1300 Wisconsin Avenue (Wisconsin) is located just one block off the highly traveled south hills corridor of West Liberty Avenue in the Borough of Dormont (please see map below).  Wisconsin is an eclectic three story brick building constructed around 1949 which houses six 2-bedroom apartments, one 1-bedroom apartment and five garages.  The apartments are serviced by gas hot water heat.  A coin-op laundry and storage lockers are available in the basement.  Most apartments have been renovated to include new appliances, refinished hardwood floors, ceiling fans, mini-blinds, paint and bath upgrades.  Each 2-bedroom apartment has a decorative fireplace, walk in closet, built in china closet and eat in kitchen.  Plenty of on-street parking is available and there may be a garage space open. 2976 Voelkel Avenue (Voelkel) is located just a few blocks off the highly used south hills corridors of West Liberty Avenue and Banksville Road in the Borough of Dormont (please see map below).  Voelkel is a modern three story brick building constructed around 1948 which houses seventeen 1-bedroom apartments and seven garages.  Voelkel was renovated in 1999 including new windows, intercom entry system, central fire alarm system, emergency lighting and attractive hallway decorations.  The apartments are serviced by gas hot water heat.  A coin-op laundry and storage lockers are available in the basement.  The apartments include appliances, wall to wall carpeting, ceiling fans, mini-blinds, paint and bath upgrades.  Plenty of on-street parking is available and there may be a garage space open. Public transportation is available near the door via the highly regarded Light Rail Transit System at the Kelton stop.

About Dormont:

          According to the most recent census, the Borough of Dormont has a population of approximately 8,593.  Dormont  is located approximately 4 miles south of the City of Pittsburgh and 18 miles east of Pittsburgh International Airport off the Parkway West (Route 376 West) at exit 69A, Banksville Road.  The major access roads through Dormont are West Liberty Avenue (which is a continuation of the roadway through the Liberty Tubes tunnel from the City of Pittsburgh outbound) and Banksville Road which is accessible from the Parkway West at Exit 69A (from the Fort Pitt Tunnel outbound from the City of Pittsburgh).

             Dormont features two eclectic shopping areas, one on Potomac Avenue and the other on West Liberty Avenue. Additional shopping is available approximately 5 miles further south on West Liberty Avenue which becomes Route 19 South.  Located there are numerous restaurants, stores, shopping centers, theaters and the noted South Hills Village.

             Dormont maintains a full time paid police force, a combination volunteer/paid fire department and a combination volunteer/paid ambulance service.  The Upper Saint Claire Hospital serves the area.  Dormont also maintains a public library and  a well regarded swimming pool and park.

            Residents of Dormont attend the Keystone Oaks School District.
